An hour for the scalp

Warm water, slow hands, and nothing to do but lie still: that is a Vietnamese head spa.

It begins at the scalp, with pressure points and aromatic oils, and moves through the neck, shoulders and hands. Then the water: warm streams from a copper arc. A facial, a double wash and a blow-dry follow, and the hour closes with hot tea.

  • Warm water
  • Fine streams
  • In both rituals

The copper arc

Over the basin, a copper arc lets warm water fall across your scalp in fine, steady streams: the hydro waterfall. It comes after the neck, shoulders and hands are released. Lie back, close your eyes, and listen to it.

Before the hour

Which ritual should I choose?
For a first visit, the Nhiên Vietnamese Head Spa: the whole ritual in 75 minutes. The Yên Head Spa takes 90 minutes and adds sound healing, energy balancing and a gua sha facial.
How should I prepare?
Arrive with dry, unstyled hair and skip heavy styling products that day. There is no need to wash your hair first: the ritual includes a scalp cleanse, a double wash and deep conditioning.
Can I keep my hair extensions in?
Yes. Our therapists work around extensions and keep your bonds intact (a $25 add-on). For the best result, book when your extensions are not freshly moved up or very tight.
What if my hair is very long?
Every length is welcome. Hair from hip to waist adds $20 to the ritual, and extra-long hair adds $25.
